How to check vote registration, polling station for Election 2018

WEBDESK: In Pakistan 2018 is Election year. Last election were held at year 2013. Pakistan democratic system allows majority party to form a government for the five year.

Last elections were won by Pakistan Muslim Nawaz (PML-N) at Federal level. The tenure of PML-N government will end on 30th May. With this, respective provincial will also be dissolved. After this care-take setup will be formed. That setup will bound to held elections within 90 days.

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is responsible for the conducting elections in Pakistan. It is an independent body. ECP works without any political influence. The chief of ECP is retired Supreme court Judge. Current Chief of Election Commision of Pakistan is Hon’ble Mr.Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza.


ECP has introduced latest technology to make sure election will be free and fair. ECP is trying to facilitate  the voters in best possible way. ECP has taken many initiatives to improve the standards of elections.

Two ways to check vote registration

  • By Mobile Phone: It is very easy to know vote registration through mobile phone. Put CNIC number in write message option and sent it to 8300. NADRA database will provide the serial number, block code and the electoral area of the CNIC holder.


  • By District Election Commissioner office: Every respective office will provide complete information about the voter registration.  Click the link below to know the address and phone number of every and any district election commissioner office.

Election process in Pakistan remained in jeopardy due to interventions. This would be the second time if happens, democratic government will handover powers to newly elected government.

After the census of 2017, directly elected seats for Member National Assembly (MNA)  for different provinces slighty changed. Largest province of Pakistan Punjab’s seat has reduced but still Punjab will decided the next prime minister of Pakistan.
